## Mrs. Ackerman's Math

## Block 1 MathThis class covers curriculum from both Algebra I and Geometry through an integrated, exploratory, inquiry-based approach. If students complete this course with an 80% or above, they will earn their high school mathematics credit for Integrated I. Throughout the year, students are expected to keep a math toolkit where they record their findings from each day's investigation, and which will become an important resource as they continue through the course. They will complete homework on a regular basis practicing the skills learned in class each day, then following the completion of each investigation, they will use their notes and corrected homework to take a Concept Check. Electronic copies of Concept Checks, as well as project rubrics and study guides for unit tests, will appear below after students have taken/received them. Mastery is allowed and encouraged on all assignments up until the day of the unit test. Please see my
Expectations and Procedures document for more specific information about the course. |
